A wonderful double weighted set, at 73 grams, it is almost triple weighted and, with a base of 1.6 inches (~ 4 cm), it is well balanced. The bases are felt lined and move easily over the board.
Carved in a classic Staunton design, this chess set has a definite masculine lines. It says solid and serious as befitting a game of chess! The king is 4 inches in height and the set requires a board of 1.75 inch square. The knights have faceted "manly" chests.
This set makes a wonderful gift for the man in your life. After all if he must ignore you for chess, then maybe looking at Christina, might get his mind back on the real game! But not likely.
